Reminders
- Please ensure that students are bringing their Zippy Bags that contain their green communication folders every day. This ensures that letters from the office, classroom and students' work make it home safely and in a good condition. A good idea is to leave it in the bag and just give ti a quick check when it comes home. We are encouraging students to take responsibility to take them home and hand them in everyday :)
- We have most of the school registration/information packs that need to be returned to the office. If you have not completed them already we look forward to having them handed in soon.
- Entering the third week of school we have been asked to encourage parents and guardians to say their goodbyes outside of the school. Children may be dropped off to the "The Kindie Pen" from 08:35 when an educator will be there to receive them and meet their YMCA Daycare friends. Students honestly settle quite quickly when they come in to the classroom and quickly begin to get on with their day. We know it can sometimes be hard but staff will be on hand to help help with the transition.

Reminders: We kindly ask that Parents and Guardians remain outside of the school building the morning unless dropping off at the YMCA Daycare. Please bring indoor shoes, Return Office Welcome Package when completed and the get to know your child page/letter that was sent on Friday.
Please return the plastic communication files in the Zippy Bag each day as there may be letters sent home and they are good way your your child to bring home personal projects and work that they have created during the day.
When dropping off children in the mornings we encourage you to hand them over to a staff member (Ms. Rathy or Ms. Malcolm) in the kindie pen area between 08:30 and 08:42 so that the class can all come in together.
Hi everyone,
As we start our second week I'd like to thank everyone for their prompt return of the Bridlewood School Package that were sent out last week as well as the notes and letters about your son/daughter.
With fall /autumn approaching soon (eek, where did summer go?) we ask that students be sent in with two pairs of shoes if they haven't been already. One for outdoor use and the other for wearing in the classroom. We find that this helps maintain a cleaner classroom as well as promoting greater independence in students. (Ross and Nancy, our caretakers, also appreciate it ;). If you haven't yet purchased an indoor set of shoes might we suggest that you consider velcro rather than shoe laces unless you are confident that your son/daughter can tie them.
Students have done a great job at returning their Zippies (I think we had all of them in) and you can expect them to go home each and everyday with your child’s communications file. We think it will be great for your child to be given the responsible of handing there Zippy Bag in of a morning and taking it home afternoon.
Soon we will begin to call the attendance in different languages. So if you do speak an additional language we would be grateful for your input. I have quite a bank already but am always keen to learn more and reflect the heritage and cultures in the classroom. Please do contact us through email, Class Dojo or via Twitter @Mr_Beer10 with the details of how to say "hello". We have found that students are very interested in learning these greetings and love trying to find the different countries on our world map that their classmates have connections to.
Well I think that's your lot for this week. Please check out the week guide below to see some of the main things that will be happening this week.
Monday 9th Friday 13th September
